From all Volkswagen models we do know this must be the master beast. The 16inch version of the double cab syncro is a very low production vehicle assembled by Puch Steyr in Austria. Puch Steyr is the reference on extreme 4 wheel drive cars. They build many extreme off road vehicles where under also the Mercedes Benz “Gelandewagen” G class.
The total production for the T25/T3 vanagon syncro seized at 43.468 units and only 2136 been built to 16 inch versions. That make these cars very selective collectables who gives You a LOT of fun down the road. A 16 inch syncro WILL be the highest collectible You can find for a T25/T3 Vanagon, and Double cabs are always sexy…… Absolute no mistake can be made buying this beautiful survivor baby.
A survivor it is!! The car was never painted, still carry its original factory paint since new. Only few touch ups. So what You see is what you get. We didn’t find any traces from old collision neither. Sold new pretty high up north in Sweden, this baby didn’t see too much salt on the road. Together with the fact it was absolutely very good cared for make this as one of the few not misabused 16 inch syncro’s in excistense.
16 inch version of the Syncro used to be very expensive and every option was extra…. The baby on offer here was still very well equipped with both limited slip diff’s front and rear, power steering, front seat heating, Eberspächer gas heater and a cool hard top on the loading bed.
And if all that is not enough yet, this baby came also with the most powerful engine combo, 2.1litres with 112Hp.
