This February 1962 build Ghia Convertible in its original L360 Sea Blue is a rare jewel these days! Generally solid and strong driver, this is a very easy project car, can be on the road again only with some repairs if you like or… awaits your resto to make it a perfect original car. This car is easy as the body condition is unbelievable and way better as 98% of all other Ghia’s out there….
Early Ghia convertibles are rare these days and if around mainly they’re very rough cars… This is an exception, this car has a really straight body with a very minimal on rust. What it need is two new floorplates, the very lower of the rear corners in the back and it has a small bubble on one of the rockers. That’s it, maybe when You strip the paint their might be “some” extra as usual but for what I could see nothing bad at all! To me the perfect judge place on a Ghia is the inside of the nose and the engine compartment, those two places are as virgin as can be, what tells me a LOT about a Ghia… No bondo nose here!
Mechanical wise this car is running and driving, without the hood it’s hard to drive the car on public roads but the engine sounds very strong and accelerates very well! Gearbox shifts nicely and steering feels well!
This is a real opportunity, good Ghia convertibles are far and between, and early body styles before 1965 become hens teeth rare if you want a good one… don’t look further you found one… personally found and inspected by me!
Well restored the early Ghia convertible are still one of the most authentic and super beautiful early Volkswagens ever build! Especially a 1962 like this in L360 Sea Blue with its original Ice blue upholstery inside is mind blowing nice! Oh my God why I can’t keep them all…
Very happy we can offer this beautiful car and make You happy, if you’re interested (and I know You are) don’t delay and contact us today because good cars like this never last long….
